Program Director
DJ joined the foundation in 2021. Prior to joining the Foundation, DJ worked as a legal advocate and lawyer at Prisoners’ Legal Services and Pivot Legal Society. At Pivot, they later went on to serve as both litigation director and interim co-executive director. DJ’s practice has focused on constitutional, human rights, and housing rights litigation and law reform, challenging laws and actions that increase inequality and systemic marginalization. DJ has also practiced administrative and constitutional law with the Department of Justice and most recently worked for a number of First Nations communities seeking declarations of their rights and title and in litigation protecting their lands.
